 THE LAST REDCOATS

Sunday 26th September at 7.30pm. Doors open at 6.30pm

The incredible story of the Regular British Army from August to November 1914. From the
Battle of Mons to the First Battle of Ypres, we tell an unfolding story of heroism and battles
against incredible odds, culminating in the amazing destruction of the illustrious Prussian
Guard by a handful of remnants of our wonderful regiments. The Last Redcoats pays tribute to
those remarkable soldiers who became known throughout the world as “THE OLD
CONTEMPTIBLES”. The lecture will include a demonstration of how the legendary 15
rounds a minute rate of fire was achieved, by the lecturer Clive McPherson.
